TCP Optimizer MTU

Hi all,
When I try the Largest MTU test I get the response 'The host you've chosen does not accept ICMP Pings, please chose a different one' with any URL.
I can manually ping these IP's and I have the firewall turned off. Latency and Trace works fine. Also, I have two other computers on the same subnet/switch that works fine with Largest MTU.
All the computers run Windows 10 Pro x64 latest version. The computer in question has an internal Intel I219lm NIC as does one of the others.

What could cause this?

Very high network buffer netalyzr

Hey guys im really sorry but im pretty much clueless about those themes and dont want to make any mistakes to ruin my connection..

Thats the result of my netalyr scan:
Network performance (?): Latency: 110 ms, Loss: 0.0% +
TCP connection setup latency (?): 120ms +
Background measurement of network health (?): no transient outages +
Network bandwidth (?): Upload 1010 Kbit/s, Download 11 Mbit/s +
Network buffer measurements (?): Uplink 1600 ms, Downlink 530 ms –
We estimate your uplink as having 1600 ms of buffering. This is quite high, and you may experience substantial disruption to your network performance when performing interactive tasks such as web-surfing while simultaneously conducting large uploads. With such a buffer, real-time applications such as games or audio chat can work quite poorly when conducting large uploads at the same time.
We estimate your downlink as having 530 ms of buffering. This level can in some situations prove somewhat high, and you may experience degraded performance when performing interactive tasks such as web-surfing while simultaneously conducting large downloads. Real-time applications, such as games or audio chat, may also work poorly when conducting large downloads at the same time.

I've wondered if anyone of you guys could help me out with my high network buffer. What i've done so far is downloaded the TCP Optimizer and went with the "optimal" settings, did restart and scanned again, but it still got the same network buffer, so i did reset it to my old settings. Whats also to mention should be that i dont always have such a high network buffer. For me it just "randomly" accured today. I've had this issue some months ago but it somehow ended up solving itself temporarely after some days.. would really appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

I have tried so many things so many times and I cant get any other value for the RWIN Scaling which is stuck on 8 bits. and yet, my speed is not too far, in fact, is better than the one my plan offers, which confuses the hell out of me. Since we cant change the RWIN directly, how do you guys suggest I could get a decent window?

I am running a KILLER e2200 NIC with updated drivers on my old z87 Mobo (i5 haswell) on Windows 10 x64. I also use the TCPoptimizer and I primarily use my PC for playing games.

Just wondering if this NIC is even worth using the hardware settings...and if so - are any of the adjustable settings worth tweaking?

I would also like to note that I am only using an updated INF file for the updated driver settings. Do I need the actual driver installed for the NIC features to be doing anything?

Hello all,

My provider suggested to use the TCP Optimizer program in order to help deal with congestion and silting up of my modem (number of active TCP sessions usually above 100 and very often close to 250 and often above).
I'm using a very thin connection over satellite (Internet 256 / 64 Fup). I understand that with these speeds it takes some time to fully download an email (using POP) or having loaded a html page fully. I don't like it but have to live with it (switching to more speed is expensive because of replacement of all equipment). What is really anoying is that, when having one (or two) page(s) too many open, the modem cannot handle this anymore and (as I understand) takes more and more bandwidth to manage the open connections than effectively using the limited bandwith to transport contentdata. And this leads to pages to stop, so a refresh is needed, that takes more data then when loading were continued, adding to the congestion, etc, etc. As I cannot control the number of TCP sessions setup by any page, it is like a tombola. Most of the times there is congestions, but very sometimes, there is not.

So I downloaded the program and read the instructions. But I have some questions:

1) What I don't get is the way the programs works, what it does, generally speaking. In order to operate and optimize the connection, I think the program should run all the time in order to be able to dynamically optimize the setting. But it seems the program does one static analysis (using optimal) and use/save these settings. I think that today (now) I generate another type of trafic than tomorrow (later), shouldn't TCP optimizer take that into account?

2) I understand that it is the COMPUTER that is controlled by TCP optimizer, and NOT the modem. I have two laptops and a smartphone that use the same modem. Shouldn't I control the modem instead/additionally? Do the settings of one individual computers interfere with those of the other, so I have to adjust the setting of the other computer, which in it's turn interfere with the optimal settings of the first one so I have to adjust the settings of laptop #1 etc etcetc?

3) I think I should I use a version op TCP optimizer on the smartphone as well, but cannot find it. I can find similar programs (I think) but these seem even more complex to unstall/use.

Thanks for any help to gain more insight in how this all works and interacts.

Greetings,
Jack

I am a resident of Delhi

I am having a postpaid plan of 40GB/Month of MTS Dongle for which I am paying Rs1179 as monthly rental

My billing cycle is 15th day of month ie from 15th October to 15th November I need to pay Rs1179 as rental for 40GB of data

Now my problem is I need this message that

Please upgrade to our high speed 4g data services or opt to port to network of choice . CDMA services will be shutdown at 23:59 hrs of 30 Nov 17. Rcom

These are my queries

1. As I mentioned my billing cycle is 15th (Grace period without penalty is up to 3rd of next month ie December 3rd) so if this time I don’t pay my bill what will happen?? Also how they adjust that 15 days period with me as from 16th November to 30th November???

2. Suggest me any plan of any ISP which is almost same like the above mentioned one

3. I think of going for den boomband or excitel are they good enough they are giving almost same in Rs 800 it’s a broadband connection not a dongle or Hotspot

4. Also Airtel hotspot or jio hotspot

5. I also think that postpaid plans are better

Any expert person please suggest me

Hi Guys,

i got a Problem with my Internet Upload Speed - i got VDSL 50 from Telekom Germany.

At all Speedtest Sites, my Upload Speed is between 4-6 Mbit but it should be at 10 Mbit. The Router is Sync with more than 10.

My Hardware isnt that bad and i got a very good cat7 Lan-Cable - i switched Cable and Hardware but it never changed a thing.

I read a lot in the Forum about tweaking and i tried some tweaks out but i think it doesent helped me yet.

Maybe you can figure out whats the problem i got.

Settings for cs 1.6 steam and ADSL

$

How to set settings with tcpotimizer and drtcp for cs 1.6 for better player skill?
I have internet ADSL 10/0,768 Mbps.
Code:

TCP options string = 020405ac0103030801010402
MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.
Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 66560
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 8 bits (scale factor: 2^8=256)
Unscaled TCP Receive Window = 260

In Windows 7, unless "TCP/IP Auto-Tuning" is disabled, only the Current TCP Window is displayed. Use the latest TCP Optimizer for tweaking.
You seem to be using Google Chrome. Note that Chrome can modify the TCP Window for sockets it creates under some OSes, and therefore servers may not get your OS-assigned RWIN value. FAQ
RWIN is not fully optimized. The unscaled RWIN value is lower than it should be. Also, RWIN being close to and above 65536 does not justify the header overhead of enabling TCP 1323 Options. You might want to use one of the recommended RWIN values below.

RWIN is not multiple of MSS. If your OS supports setting RWIN directly, consider changing it to a multiple of MSS for optimum performance.
Other RWIN values that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
63888  (up to 2 Mbit lines, depending on latency. MSS * 44)
127776 (1-5 Mbit lines, depending on latency. MSS * 44 * 2)
255552 (2-14 Mbit lines, depending on latency. MSS * 44 * 2^2)
511104 (8-30 Mbit lines, depending on latency. MSS * 44 * 2^3)
1022208 (25-60 Mbit lines depending on latency. MSS * 44 * 2^4)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):

Your current TCP Window limits you to: 2662 kbps (333 KBytes/s) @ 200ms latency
Your current TCP Window limits you to: 1065 kbps (133 KBytes/s) @ 500ms latency
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 45 hops
TTL value is ok.

Optimize Internet vs. Local Wireless?

If I have an internet connection that's 25 mbps but have a wireless AC network (currently can get over 100 mbps) do I run the TCP/IP optimizer on my internet speed or network speed?

I'm most interesting in maximizing my video streaming speed in my network.

Latency Issues

I play CS:GO at a relatively high level of play, family issues forced me to move out of our town to a smaller village about 10 miles away. Internet choices are extremely limited and I picked the best one I believe I could of found. Sadly it's still ****** and I could be forced to stop playing because of it. What happens is during random times, could last all day or only a few minutes, my ping jumps to around 70-150ms. Doesn't sound to bad but it comes with extreme stutter. Can't control weapon recoil, the enemy team complains they can't shoot me because of how warpy I am, and the people spectating me say they only see me shoot like 4 bullets when I spray a full 30 (will most likely be kicked from my league if I don't get it fixed). I think it has something to do with the server not being able to update me fast enough, not sure how to fix that. I'm the only person who uses the connection. Money also isn't a problem, willing to spend a lot if its a guaranteed fix.

Advertised speeds - 10 down / 2 up
Latest speed test - 9.41 down / 1.64 up / Usually 10-20 ping / have 75 / 20.19 jitter / 2% packet loss
Provider and connection type - Network Business Systems / Wireless Broadband (PPPoE)
Router - Netgear R7800
OS - Windows 10 Home

I gave them a call when my ping was like 160+ and they said that they didn't see any issue on there end (ofc not) they transferred me to a tech and he said to set up the PPPoE on my PC. I'm guessing he thinks its my router but it's not because I've already tried that. I've also tried the TPC optimizer, but its still a bust. I just need a stable connection.
